Rise of an Empire.

The glory of the battle, what would I know about it? The victory at the sacrifice of a few hundreds, how would I know it feels like? When the blood of the enemies flood through the oceans in red, how could I know it looks like? When the sweet taste of vengeance is taken upon by ripping out the heart, what would I know the taste. The lust for the blood, the vengeance, glory of the fallen soldiers, for the promise of freedom, what would I know any of it ?

300 : Rise of an Empire. A movie which lives up to the expectations of the the people. A fight for the freedom against the idea of overpowering the people because some kingdoms don't like democracy. A stand for justice achieved through unity which portrays that nothing could stand in the way when people are united. The tragic loss of the martyrs in the battle is just a reminder of the braveness that they showed in every step of the way. Blood. Blood. There is blood everywhere.

"No, You are not be a warrior, nor someone who likes blood, nor you have any vengeance, but this movie will make you lust for the same".

The slow motion slaughterhouse, while the blood keeps rippling out of every cut, every strike, the fierce eyes that long for vengeance and the battle in the sea is a delight to watch. The only problem with watching a movie in 3D in a normal theater is that you might get the feel of blood falling on your face but the color density decreases. I have never understood why, but it kind of becomes dark And however much I like watching the High Def movies with intense clarity and all, that dimness in the contrast has still to be taken care of in 3D movies.

Storyline : I would really like to tell the story line, but I would rather suggest you to watch first hand. It feels good that way. And it is a little intense than the first part, but at the end you get everything you wished for. Vengeance. And Sparta.

Off the books
What I like about watching such movies is the screenplay and the depiction of characters. No, I am not a writer but that budding writer in me, wants me to describe the complexity of the character, situation and the environment. It gives a different perspective to ponder about and best of all I like the narration which goes in the movie and that gives me goosebumps. I love that narrative style when everything goes in slow motion while the camera goes into showing some sheer awesomeness. I have tried that in writing, but still I gotto work on it.

P.S. : If anyone was thinking what kind of a review this is. This isn't. I don't do reviews. I am not a good judge at that. And I forget half of the things(about the movie like names, dialogues and likewise) that should be written for a review. So yeah, I am not a better reviewer. So, now the question would be why I wrote this? I don't need a reason to write something. I just wanted to write. I also know that this is kind of a messed up post. But I will make sure to come up with a better post next time.

  1. Yeah I feel I generally suck at reviews, because my appreciation is never detached and clinical the way technical reviews are. I'm always totally into the thing for my own personal reason. But yeah like you said, don't need to rationalize it or bend over backwards to suit others! Keep em coming dude.

    1. But still you do a very good job at it. Yeah, it's our review. What's others opinion has to do with it.

    3. Yeah, I kind of figured that out.
Girls/ladies are not a fan of blood.

Plus you should watch the movie. It is a little female centered as well. Because they are the ones with vengenace .

    1. Violence is what makes the movie watchable.
History was violent. Battles were fought. Blood was shed. People were killed. It was totally a different kind of world back then.

Well, I'm not forcing you. Just saying. Yeah, it could be a scary thing to watch but there are worse things.
Wait, what the hell am I even saying. Sorry.
*Tries to figure out what I just told*

  4. Everyone with a intense face ready to strike or actually triking being shown in slow motion while blood gushes from every imaginable part of the body and yet the fight continues with intense music that might literally spill your guts out....hold on...right there...If i watch this movie, i wonder how many nightmares i will have...watching the first one was mistake enough, and i corrected it by watching the funny retake on the movie (that i don't remember the name of ) when i literally cried out of laughing too much...i will watch this (rather i might) when that kind of movie gets released

    1. Whoa! Man up!
      That's all I will say.

It is not one of the SAW movies where a guy tortures helpless people for the mere notion of pleasure or should I put it in 'being psychotic'. That is sick. But this isn't that kind of movie. The first one was a mistake. *Sigh*. *No Comment*
