Concise.

Concise. Precise. Elaborate.

So the other day, I was at this bloggers meet. And as usual I was being m usual self, introvert and 'kinda-minding my own business sort of' instead of mingling with people, making friends, making blogfriends, interacting, sharing my piece of mind, by mind I mean blog and getting to know them, their blog and eventually creating a WhatsApp group for the bloggers. Camera and taking pictures of people sitting from my seat. Yes, I was /am too lazy to move around. No, that wasn't it.

Anyhow, in the middle of the Know the blogger session that was going on where one had to explain why they blog and give one thing they learnt from blogging. One person suggested that the content should be short, while another suggested that it should be long. Keep it short. Keep it long. Keep it short because people tend to get scared on looking at long posts. Keep it long because that would keep the reader interested in reading more. I don't really understand the logic in the long posts. People don't usually have time, do they ? Mostly they don't. People read while they are travelling or having a coffee or something. So, long posts are a turn off. Being said that I am a long post writer. I write and write and don't really care how long the post is. I like to keep it concise but then again I want to explain everything. Now, we all know how long posts are a big turn off.

I can't help it. So, I think I might have a solution for that. Giving the people, the readers to choose whether they would like to go into details or not. I will start of with a small description or just a line. I will also write the elaborate description or whatever we call it, but the reader will have the choice to read it or not. That being said, the question that you might have is whether you would be redirected to a new page containing the description of the so mentioned one line.

In other news

2091 pageviews in a day. Two Thousand freaking pageviews!! « Elaborate ♦ »

So, you see. Check out the elaborate feature which I just introduced. And tell me, if you would like to see my posts just like that. You see, I am giving you a choice to chose what you want to read. So, the reader can chose their preference.

The beginning of the end.

6 years. 560 posts. 129000 pageviews. 6 years sounds like a pretty big number. But it isn't as scary as I say my age out loud. I am still in disbelief. Why, you ask? Not that it is a huge number compared to the life goal I am supposed to be doing, or partly it does matter. But this that I have survived for so long. I started writing exactly 6 years ago and I don't know how but I just loved it. I loved it so much that I started recommending to other people in my college, my cousins, my cousins friends, even left the blog url on the tissue papers and accidentally ( I mean consciously) left my blog name or the url in the places I had been to. But guess what, no one gave a damn. Seriously, no one. But I didn't care much. I loved writing and hence I continued to do so.

Then again, I wasn't a reader either. Truth be told, I haven't read a novel or the likes of it till I hit that writer's block in writing down the lane a few months after I got into writing. Yes, I did read most of the Super Hero and all of Tintin comics and that was the last of it. My dad used to buy books, like autobiographies of famous people such a Mahatma Gandhi and Nehru, and the likes of them. He even bought the book 5 point someone, which apparently was doing good at the Crossword book store. But I was rather interested in wait, what did I do in my free time? I guess nothing. There was no internet either and that DSL internet was the shittiest thing one can ever come across, the dail up freaky tone. Anyway, lets not bring the past to the present. So, where was I? Yeah, writing and reading. I started reading because I wanted to know things, I wanted to have a different perspective on things, I wanted to know how the people's mind worked and how they saw what they saw. I followed almost every single blogger whom I came across, and tried to fit into their shoes or perhaps their mind. Believe me, all this drama did teach me a thing or two. And to add to the list, it also gave me a few good, great friends whom I might not have met but know me a far better than any other person I met(in person) along the way. So, thank you for that.

And this year. This year just doesn't feel so right. Something has been off lately. Optimism hasn't really been my strong suit. And neither has planning for something remotely turned out to be okay. So, I decided to not make plans either it is to write or read or anything as a matter of fact and do things along the way as they come to me. Turns out, that didn't work either. It just feels like I am destined to be doomed, in ways not yet known to me. I told a friend of mine, "When I make some plans, everything in the universe tries to stop it. So I decided not to make any because you know since making plans didn't work out. So not making and thinking that I didn't make any might just yield an outcome which in turns benefits me.". So, in light of all these atrocities against me, I have decided to put this blogging on hold for an indefinite time, until noted. May be, I will just start writing from some other place or with a pseudo name or a different blog. I don't know man. I don't know what to do. Anyway, I came up with this quote or whatever we call it.

"All good things eventually end. And all bad things should have ended sooner."
- Ajay Kontham, 2015

[Analogy : The text is quoted and there is a name below it and there is a year also for reference. Thats' what we call a quote / quotation. And you are welcome for the enlightenment you recieved.]

This brings the post to the end. The end to (refer the quote and pick a choice)
And... you know what it means.

Crazy thing on the internet.

I really don't understand the concept of auto-bots, but there are a few over the internet, I think we call them bots, where a website preferably sends or tries to access other sites leading to almost everything possible ranging from phishing to whatnot. So, to avoid all this there are security. And the very reason when one is trying to set up an account or do something online, it tells you confirm whether you are a human or not. Because these bots aren't programmed to read the captcha code or likewise. It is not like some alien is trying to set up an account or is in the process of sending a million bucks over the internet. No.

And when it comes to blogs, all the anonymous comments are nothing more than just these things. I have successfully allowed them to see my profile by publicizing too much all over the internet. The very reason for the tremendous page view even if most of the people in the follower list don't read my blog. Well, I have recently been able to minimize it, but I could be wrong. I don't know how they work.

So, I have received things like those comments for quite some time. I have always wondered how do they even get into my site in the first place. Come on, it doesn't even end with ".blogspot.com" and to make it even frenzy I have put up my own name. Coming to the above comment, the first line had me. You could be joking, but beyond a limit of hilariousness is just not cool. Vinod, Indore? whoever that guy is! *Call Me* I have a lot to talk to you about. And about my blog giving interesting information? Just freaking hilarious. And it goes on. Well, this is just the one, there are a lot many like these. So, I just went and saw my spammed comments (all these comments were sent to spam folder) and it came to around 400 (round figure). I indeed am famous. Wait, Bob Marley Quotes? Seriously? Don't event think about clicking on that link.

So, when a guy asked me why I keep the comment moderation, I have no other better reason to tell. But like always it is quite difficult to explain. The main reason why I enabled the comment moderation is because I wanted to keep a track of all the comments that I might receive, when I receive. I don't like to come to my blog every other minute and wait for someone to comment. And get disappointed when no one does. It is not a obsessive compulsive disorder, as you thought could be the reason! No. But if it makes you feel any better, you can assume that. Oh wait, you already did.

Did I mention about be being the famous guy? It gets interesting when I received this through a mail :

Haha, funny that you mention it. Because the feeling's mutual. And this person is as random as it gets, another spam mail, of course. There was a small message also along with this about why and frankly speaking you don't want to know.

This is just crazy. Because for all this to work, someone somewhere has to initiate this right? The computer/internet just can't randomly write/create a bot and let it open in the internet. So, there is someone as equally crazy and jobless, needless I should say more.

Procrastination 101

The procrastination has taken a new height when I realized that I totally forgot to write a post when the blog hit counter crossed one lakh. I should have thrown a party or something like that. I usually do that kind of shit, more often than I realize that. But worry not, it is not a big deal, I mean the counter not the party. I might as well do something altogether, make some changes, perhaps or I could go undrground. I have been thinking of starting from scratch. But I know it is an impossible thing to do to say the least. *Sigh* Whom ate we kidding ? After nearly 5 years of writing what could be termed as sheer awesomeness, I mean exactly the opposite posts and over half of the hits by God knows what, spam, url hopping and a thousand tweets , I nearly crossed the one lakh page views. Oh, I forgot to mention another half was contributed by yours faithfully.

So, I have changed my hangout spot for a brief moment, not as much as changed per say, but lets' rather stick to checking out a new spot. This time I am trying the McDonald's just because I saw a 'Free WiFi' sign outside the shop. So, I enter the shop, connect to my phone. Voila, it got connected. But don't get too jumpy, there was no data transfer, as usual. I mean why do they even put up the sign outside just to lure people and then they find out it was a bogus one. Wait, they have the router. And I  had no problem paying for the WiFi, so as soon as I  opened my laptop to connect to the internet which get diverted to the McDonald's website for internet access. Turns out there is an IP conflict. Umm, I thought that IP was supposed to be unique for each machine. But it could also be because of so many people trying to access the wifi. That IP conflict error was for the Free access. I rather preferred to pay for the wifi and use it. So, I give my contact details and all that stuff which again lands up with the same error IP conflict. So, I figured out that I can't this free WiFi, no matter what, even if I had paid for it. So, the only option was to connect to my phone. I change my phone from GSM mode to 3G mode, hoping to get faster access. And I usually keep in the GSM mode to restrict the draining of the battery for no apparent reason. I switch on the packet data and also the portable WiFi hotspot and sit back till it gets connected. It takes some time to connect and then more time to connect to the internet. Phew! Finally. *Opens browser*. Doesn't even send the request from my browser. *Searched something in the phone on Google* Same thing happened again - You device is not connected to the internet. Oh, snap! This 3G was supposed to be faster, not barring me from using the internet. I switch back to 2G and though it is connected to the internet, it takes more time to load a page than Internet Explorer. Yeah, that slow.

The other day, which means yesterday I was at my regular coffee shop ordered the same thing which I have been ordering for the past few months, sat at one of my regular places and as usual trying to write something. But if truth be told, I was busy flaunting my new headphone which I got just yesterday. It is double the size of my head, literally and more over that wire is double my height, again literally. But that was an unusual time to do that - flauntingsince there were no one at that hour of the day ( or is it called night). And moreover the people who came were in couples. Yeah, there was no one to get give a shitand be impressed. It was just me, admiring myself in the mirror. After sitting there for nearly two hours, I decided to get going. Then I realized that I didn't complete the coffee. I was so engrossed in writing  flaunting, that I forgot to complete my coffee and by then it was cold coffee. I know I am an coffee addict, but not a fan of cold coffee. No Sir. I decided to let it be, because I already packed everything and stood up to leave. And sitting back to complete that cold coffeewould not be so cool. Wait, at that time there was no one else in the coffee shop. Umm, but that guy in the mirror would definitely give a cold stare.

So, let me bring you upto speed about what has been happening in with me so far. We went to a friend's sister's marriage. Then, later my cousin sister got married at the end of the last month. My brother couldn't attend it due to some exams. Then on SivaRatri, we went to one of my friend's place around 3 hours from the outskirts of Bangalore ( add two more hours for the traffic inside Bangalore) to some exhibition, or what do we call a Mela exactly ? It was good, as we were able to enjoy for some time. Then dinner at my friend's home cooked by herself for the first time.Yeah, we were kind of the lab rats there. But to be fair, it wasn't that bad after all. Then a day before yesterday, we went to  our project team lead's marriage. Phew! So many marriages these days. But I am fine as long as I spend some money for the traveling and the gift, greet them, eat something and come back.  But at my cousin's marriage almost everyone was pointing towards me telling, " You are next". I smile, but cursed them inside. Marriage, that topic has been sitting in my drafts for way too long time. It's time to dust it, brush it and publish it for good. May be then they will stop telling me that "You are next".

P.S. : This was supposed to be posted yesterday. But, like I said 'Procrastination'  has gone to a new level. And yesterday night, I came to a shocking new development, which is supposed to be next post. But let's see, where this 'procrastination' thing leads me to.
