Write. #Z2AChallenge

Memories. Experience. Life. Us. You. Them. Everything. Every moment is precious and every moment gives us something to learn, the good or the bad. But why write, when we can cherish the moment in memories? Why write, when we can ponder about it over a cup of coffee, trying to recollect those precious few memories. We are writers after all, we want to paint a story, a story with the moments, brushing the strokes through the memories, adding a little bit of hue of feeling, a contrast of emotion while we tune the song they sing to create a masterpiece. And well, we are humans after all.
__________

I thought quite a lot about this - What I could write and make it look better? How I could interpret this in a way, that will appeal to the masses. I thought a lot. Believe me. I have saved this 2 years ago and had been contemplating how to use this quote and justify the deep inner meaning it has. The thing is I just can't. No matter how or what I write, I won't be able to make it any better than it already is. I would like you to take a bow with me to appreciate the deep meaning of this. I believe every writer in us would agree with the quote.

I want to take my blog to the next level #BlogChatter.

Level Up.

Note :  I was tagged by Aarti to write this post.
______________

7 years. 600 Posts. 4700 comments. 175000 page views. I should have become the most famous blogger by now, signing autographs and attending/giving seminars. I mean let's not daydream now and you may please stop rolling your eyes. For a person with 7 years in blogging this number is actually nothing, really. If you thought I was boasting about this, I wasn't. If I am able to do that in one year, then, then I could be considered for the amazing bloggers out there. Wait a second, look at me going all gaga over the impossible. I have a long way to go. I know I can hear you whisper sitting at the back there. "It has already been such a long way", I heard that. Well, that is one of the reasons I would like to take my blog to the next level.

Why do we blog?
The ardent question that every writer (bloggers who write blog are also called writers, in case you are wondering why there isn't a book in the Crossword bookstore by us bloggers) gets asked is why we blog. I am referring to bloggers as us, because well I am a blogger, duh! In short, its our passion, to write and express. Let me break it down so you understand- we love writing, we love expressing, we love to share our opinions with the world. Writing for us is an art, something that can only be mastered over time with constant dedication and learning and teaching what we know to others. Some find writing a way to let out their feelings because not always you can just around breaking things. Those iPads and Laptops are not that cheap, I tell you. I stil have some broken glasses somewhere screaming at me, "You need to get your shit together bro!". As I was saying, writing for us is expressing the feelings and emotions we bottle up, either it is through poems or fiction or just a plain old dairy entry. And let me tell you something, you just keep things bottled up, you need to let it out, one way or the another. Some eat (mostly icecream, I have heard), some exercise, some join the gym, some box, some run, some make and sing songs, and some write.

Why we want people to read our blog?
We really don't. Nah, I am kidding. We really want people to read. Though we don't want you to read our blog just because we shared the link on Facebook or WhatsApp group (You have been removed from the WA group. Oh, I shouldn't have done that!) and that you are in my friends / twitter-follower list, you are somehow obliged to read it. No. We want people to know our side of the story. We want you to read because there's always more to a story and each individual opinion matter, however trivial it might be. We want you to read because you want to read it. So, let me just throw this out there, each and every one of us has an opinion on every other thing. Sometimes, we hear it in gossips, sometimes its in closed boxes, sometimes its' on a public platform. Similarly, we have an opinion which we would like others to read and in turn share their opinion and probably get into a debate mode. A debate is always healthy. This is for improving each other. Correct me if I am wrong in this aspect. So, when we share continuously on social media our latest posts, don't detest, rather give a peek and share your 2 pennies.

Why we say, "Write it down!"
I have proudly told to people that I am a blogger. Most(read : every) of the times, I have received a perplexed look as if you have been accused of murder and right out of no where you are surrounded by SWAT. Then after explaining about what a blog is and what a blogger is, we receive a "Oh ok!" *Big Deal. I don't give a shit* while they scroll through their Facebook feed. But then you urge them to read your posts, because we want to feel validated, appreciated or critiqued. Because any sort of feedback is always a learning thing for us. And we know for a fact what writing does to you. It relieves you. It sets you free. It rejuvenates you from the daily crass and brass of life. You might be wondering I am just saying this and making stuff up. No, I have written for 7 years now. So, I can give a calculated and well researched analysis on how the mnemonics of writing helps you. So, when we urge you to write, we want you to express yourself, to contribute to the never ending pool of debates, to be a part of greater good. But mostly, to follow your passion, ie, if you have the flare for writing.

So the other say I sat around with my friends and we were discussing about my blogging behavior, as in what they liked reading and how boring some of the stuff is. One friend said that he really liked reading the real stories - the ones which happen around me and I formulate it with words. Another friend agreed to it. Then I realized that this was what I was looking for, from people who read my blog- constructive feedback. Now, I know what they like reading, so I will tune myself to write what the people are really interested in, rather than writing about me sulking over something or the other thing.

BlogChatter is one such community where bloggers come together on an united front to help each other out and in turn help themselves.

The beginning of the end.

6 years. 560 posts. 129000 pageviews. 6 years sounds like a pretty big number. But it isn't as scary as I say my age out loud. I am still in disbelief. Why, you ask? Not that it is a huge number compared to the life goal I am supposed to be doing, or partly it does matter. But this that I have survived for so long. I started writing exactly 6 years ago and I don't know how but I just loved it. I loved it so much that I started recommending to other people in my college, my cousins, my cousins friends, even left the blog url on the tissue papers and accidentally ( I mean consciously) left my blog name or the url in the places I had been to. But guess what, no one gave a damn. Seriously, no one. But I didn't care much. I loved writing and hence I continued to do so.

Then again, I wasn't a reader either. Truth be told, I haven't read a novel or the likes of it till I hit that writer's block in writing down the lane a few months after I got into writing. Yes, I did read most of the Super Hero and all of Tintin comics and that was the last of it. My dad used to buy books, like autobiographies of famous people such a Mahatma Gandhi and Nehru, and the likes of them. He even bought the book 5 point someone, which apparently was doing good at the Crossword book store. But I was rather interested in wait, what did I do in my free time? I guess nothing. There was no internet either and that DSL internet was the shittiest thing one can ever come across, the dail up freaky tone. Anyway, lets not bring the past to the present. So, where was I? Yeah, writing and reading. I started reading because I wanted to know things, I wanted to have a different perspective on things, I wanted to know how the people's mind worked and how they saw what they saw. I followed almost every single blogger whom I came across, and tried to fit into their shoes or perhaps their mind. Believe me, all this drama did teach me a thing or two. And to add to the list, it also gave me a few good, great friends whom I might not have met but know me a far better than any other person I met(in person) along the way. So, thank you for that.

And this year. This year just doesn't feel so right. Something has been off lately. Optimism hasn't really been my strong suit. And neither has planning for something remotely turned out to be okay. So, I decided to not make plans either it is to write or read or anything as a matter of fact and do things along the way as they come to me. Turns out, that didn't work either. It just feels like I am destined to be doomed, in ways not yet known to me. I told a friend of mine, "When I make some plans, everything in the universe tries to stop it. So I decided not to make any because you know since making plans didn't work out. So not making and thinking that I didn't make any might just yield an outcome which in turns benefits me.". So, in light of all these atrocities against me, I have decided to put this blogging on hold for an indefinite time, until noted. May be, I will just start writing from some other place or with a pseudo name or a different blog. I don't know man. I don't know what to do. Anyway, I came up with this quote or whatever we call it.

"All good things eventually end. And all bad things should have ended sooner."
- Ajay Kontham, 2015

[Analogy : The text is quoted and there is a name below it and there is a year also for reference. Thats' what we call a quote / quotation. And you are welcome for the enlightenment you recieved.]

This brings the post to the end. The end to (refer the quote and pick a choice)
And... you know what it means.

iDoNothing.

Day 6, Monday
If you couldn't answer with your job,
how would you answer the question, 'what do you do'?
____________________________

My first reaction on seeing the topic was a big laugh. Even I was asked about my job, I wouldn't prefer saying about that. It is not something like a Google or Microsoft job to brag about. So, anyway, the question : 'What do I do?' I do a lot of things to start with. I sometimes do trekking, jumping, sleeping, umm.. drink, talk, umm..er.. Nike, iPhone, Mercedes..umm.. Wait! 'Sorry, what was the question again?' . Yeah, 'What do I do?'.

1. Waste :  I waste time, like a lot. You have no idea. Though my to-do list(s) is torn a hundred times and remade after every five minutes. And by the time I settle with one thing, there is no time left. Another day comes and the process repeats.

2. Click : Though I haven't been regular at this, but this is what I do, kind of. Okay. Please let the boy brag about something nice, for once. I have just written about my passion  in the previous post and this is one of it. This time bound job is sucking all the time leaving me with no time to pursue anything that I like.

3. Write : This is no surprise, right? As you reading this, I was just typing the words. As simple as that, innit? And usually, I am a very lazy person. Believe me, I am. But these challenges make me write something or the other. Now, if you are reading this, you might as well know that how lame of a post this is. No. The topic is great. It is me, all me writing this and not putting my best foot forward.

4. Spend : Oh, yeah. Give a million bucks and an hour or may be less. And you wouldn't find a single penny left with me. You don't believe me, do you? Well, lets give it a try. So, you ready with the million bucks?

5. Lie : This might come as a surprise, but sometimes I am bound to lie. Not that I like doing that, but sometimes the situation demands it and also white lies aren't harmful, I guess.

Oh wait! The topic wasn't about confessing about yourself right? Then why are you? Dude, you gotto understand the topic before you jump and keep babbling about it at length.
So, I think I should stop here. Enough confessing for one day, I guess.
