What have I been upto ? (Cont...)

I was standing at the coffee counter in office. And this colleague of mine who is kind of an incharge of whatever I am into pats me on my back and says "What are you doing here?" I pointed out to the coffee shop and signaled him coffee with a grin face. But he asked me again saying, "I was asking what you were doing here?". You must have seen that advertisement in which a guy who is in a movie theater asks his friend what he was doing there and everybody starts clapping at his pure ingeniousness. I did the same thing in my mental thoughts.

The other day, as usual I was wasting time again. And then I realized that it was already morning when I got a call from the cab driver for the pick up. I was like "Wth, I haven't even slept yet and this guy is calling for the pick up place". Again, as usual, I didn't pick up the call. Not because I did not sleep. But because he was calling nearly one and a half hour late. And also in another half an hour the normal shuttle service would be started. And I had no big deal of a work at office either. So, I was awake for nearly 24 hours. This was not the first time I was awake for such a long time. I have been upto 3 days (plus or minus). I felt like its' not big of a deal. It wasn't, until when I realized that I wasn't able to walk properly. I managed myself upto the bus stop, but again I wasn't able to stand properly. Because this sleep was kicking in so badly that it was totally not under my control. But I still managed to stand and get into the bus somehow. I was like swinging like a drunk man.

I have spent so much on food and coffee that I felt like I was giving salary to them, but in installments. I didn't think much about it until one of my friend asked me. What do I eat for dinner? The locality where I stay has access to a few fast food joints, like the KFC, Subway, Pizza, Coffee Shop plus a few restaurants. No, they are not beside my place, but I can manage a little walk. So, I told the same thing to my friend when he asked me for the weekly dinner plan. I am junk addict, am I not? Its' not like I am a junk addict. The food at my place is not good at all. One time, I felt like I was wasting too much money on food and that too not so healthy food. So, I thought I will just eat here where I stay and I would be able to save a few bucks. But the one time I ate, I made a vow kind of thing like never to eat here again. Even if its' unhealthy or costly, I am just going to eat out.

Sometimes, I feel like I am drifting away. Like into some place unknown and foggy and blank and I-really-don't-know. Exactly, it sounds crazy right? I know. I have felt the same. So, this guy was speaking to me and I was listening to him. After a period of 10 minutes, I realized that I was here, but my mind was somewhere else. And I would have been happy if I had known what I was thinking. It is totally normal, unless the other guy asks a question and I am still like he is saying something and I nod agreeing to whatever he was saying with a "Yeah". Believe me, it is totally awkward. If that awkwardness isn't enough, I have some more tricks in my sleeve. Someone asks me my opinion or something and I start telling my opinion or explaining. In the middle I realize that I am thinking about something else like what I am doing now. And then I have no idea what I say, but believe me it doesn't make sense, in no way possible.

People are always trying to tell something that they know or don't know. And when it comes to future, they can't be stopped. Oh no, not about theirs, but others. Almost every other person is interested in sharing their piece of mind on how to live my life, what I have to do, what I have to change, what could be done! Dude, just shut the fish up. I know everything and as a matte of fact, I know a little more also. So, I don't think your intuition or whatever is of no one's concern. The only problem with people telling me do something is that they haven't done any of it. Before you tell others, at least do that from your side and then you can talk shit.

15. Jinx

Days have passed quickly than I have anticipated. It has been more than 5 days since I posted. Now the question lies about the 365 challenge. It is not that I don't want to write. It is more of a new developed laziness that has gotten into me. Though, I have been associated with it for a time I no longer can look backward to,that deep into my history. So, it's a little bit of this and a little bit of that. What's this and that ? Laziness and umm, sleep? Okay, I have to let this out. I am usually an insomniac. And with that comes great responsibility. Yes, it is a super power. People don't understand it. But it really is. And since people don't understand it, they think its evil in all sense. And I think I have been a victim of their preposterous assumptions. Someone jinxed or cursed me may be. Because I have been sleeping a lot, like a lot lately. This is so unlike me.

Okay, get this. I don't usually sleep at my will. Everytime I sleep is an unknown process where I slowly drift into sleep from drowsiness. Though I would be sitting and sleeping, but that is a different story altogether. I usually sleep after the clock has passed the midnight strike a few hours earlier. But this has changed and I am sleeping a few hours before mid night. This is so unlike me. So, you see. Someone has done something to me.

Recently, I have been on a trip. Ah, about the trip. The next past ( this one precisely ) was supposed to be about it, but there has been a slight complication. I will just give the outline, like a trailer. The trip lasted for a near 3 days, which I must say has been the longest trip I have been ever to. The main purpose behind it was to attend a friend's sister marriage. To point out, I don't usually attend marriages in particular. But these days, I have to because everyone is kind of getting married. And attending friend's or colleague's marriage is one thing, but friend-colleague's sister's marriage would mean that that person is more of a good friend (or a little bit more than that). So, we attended that and it was great. But during our stay at my friend's house, I forgot my camera at his home. I realized that while we were on the way to the marriage and it was almost two hours journey away from my camera. Yeah, I cursed myself of my forgetfulness. How could I even forget my camera? Me? Camera! Me? Me? ME? I? I? Something is wrong. Something is terribly wrong. So, yeah, I came back without my camera and as a result the post which was supposed to be about it (with photos) is still on hold. And to add to that, my fate got kicked again in the ass. The person in whose I forgot the camera went back home for some personal reason, so I asking him to tag along the camera with him. When he messaged me that he was bringing the camera, I thought the post won't be delayed for long. But guess what I was wrong. This super dude, brought the camera, but forgot the memory card back at his home. And I was thinking everything was going excellent with my so-called-fate. Okay, people, don't jinx it even more. And to add to that already I slept the whole journey. I was like, what the hell is wrong with me? I don't usually sleep and while in journey, nah! No way! But still I slept like anything and one thing that my friends were shocked by seeing me sleep for such long hours. And to add to my glory, even the driver thought I was sleeping a little too much. So, umm *poker face* . *No comments* Period.

So, the last comment ended with this :

"can i make you my brother :D i will be your sweet lil sis and u my big cool bro ;) "

Such sweetness! Such awesomeness. This was actually sweet and frankly speaking I was grinning from ear to ear when I first read this. I am hoping to write a detailed post on that as well. But, for now lets settle with this. Like I said, I am giving the teasers for the posts-which are yet to be written. First of all, it was so sweet of her to ask, inspite of all the Valentines' Day flu flying around. And well that day is a dry day for me, as always it has been. This P.P.S on the comment made my day. Big Cool Bro !  Sounds awesome. Yeah, don't worry, I will give the details s-h-o-r-t-l-y. Only thing you have to pray for is to make sure that I don't sleep at nights. :P Umm, I mean it , actually.

P.S. : There is no P.S. here. Just felt like adding this at the end, 'cause it was looking like empty? may be!

Ciao guys.
Over and out.

Waking up.

I am not usually a morning person. Really, I am not. People reading my blog know that. So, the past could of weeks I have been able to make these comic strips, based on my situation called - Insomnia.

And finally the last but not the least and also the instant waking machine...

Besides all this, these days I have been sleeping early. I mean like at 1am or 2 am. I think someone has cursed me to sleep early. Phew! Who's that? Who would do such a heinous thing?

P.S. : Created using BitStrips app for Facebook and Android Phone.

The Day When...

....When I had a 3 Square Meal.
#DiaryEntry 05

It doesn't happen often. I have been in Bangalore for over six months. And last time, I remember having breakfast, followed by lunch and then dinner was when I was at home. Of course, right? Because no one can skip home-made food. But ever since I was back, yesterday was the only day when I actually got to eat three times a day. Now, I have heard from various people, including my mom, that breakfast is the most important part of the day, but I am just one stubborn lad and don't take anything seriously, and here especially breakfast. Probably, my mom would call once in a while to check up on me whether I am having the required quantity of food on a daily basis, but guess what, I am not following the routine. You would probably find me munching at the Mc Donald's or licking my fingers on KFC's hot wings, or eating hundreds of chocolates as if there would be no chocolates starting from tomorrow. Well, that's it. My weekly, daily food routine, with exceptional cases and frequently changing menus.

So, the recent turn of events has left be blatantly shocked, or lets just say time bound. And I would curse each and every person responsible for it. For the six months I had been enjoying the comfort of my room when one evening I get a call asking me to come to office the next day. I thought there would be an interview and I would just mess it up and spend some more time with my loving room and laptop. But fate plays its role as does the luck. My luck was so bad that there was no interview for the project. I am straight away told to read some materials concerning the project. I wasn't given time to process what was going on. Now, coming to the time, who else could ever have such weird time routine. I have to go almost before my usual waking-up-time and come when all the shops are closed. Now, don't you stress yourself too much figuring the time. Its from 8 to 11, including all the travelling and the work time. By the time I reach my room, I am like a dead crawling person and just have to climb my bed and doze off to sleep. But I still take out my laptop and check the latest posts, try to commet and then think of writing a post. Last night, I was with the same idea of writing a post, but the next thing I remember is hitting the snooze button on my phone. I didn't even know when I had fallen asleep. Day ends. Day begins. All happens within fraction of seconds. And just this comes to my mind whenever I think about all this :

Statutory Precaution / Advice / Warning / Whatever! : Don't try this at home, work place, college, school, or anywhere. It is not as easy as it looks. Parental presence required.(And Yes! Parent's are also advised not to try this) Or at least a Professional will also do.

Break Dance, Literally.
P.S. This would be lamest post you might have even read in the history of blogging. Seems like I just need some experience to manage some things which I usually do well. So, it might take a little while for me getting back at writing awesome posts, (hahahahahahahahahaha.) Did anyone just laugh? Now, I am even hearing things.

Written under The Day When { #TheDayWhen }. Yeah, I guess there will many more such days to come. Oh, No! Not like this post. I meant about something or the other happening and I may not be able to resist sharing it or may be reliving some old days from the past. Some thing or the other there will always be something fishy or lets say interesting. :D

Sleep-Talk!

The Sleep-Talk
Somniloquy

I have had many encounters with Somniloquy. And what I have found is that this happens mostly to people who really work hard. Their mind gets to much occupied with the work that they are so deeply absorbed into. It is all random and clearly the other person won't understand what he/she is saying unless they are too involved in the same work. I could pick up a lot many people whom I had seen talking during their sleep. I guess it must be that they were working hard even in their sleep. What do we call those people? But I haven't seen anyone sleep-walking yet, I guess.

I am an insomniac. So, I stay up late at night till the sun shows its face. Yeah! I sleep just before the dawn. Weird? I know. So, some of my roommates get into sleep talk in the middle of the night. I get startled. What I hear is a total blur, but it feels like they are talking to us, the one awake, may be needing something or some help. But then they are still wide asleep. Need I say more there is a special music in addition to my iPod playlist the snoring. Sometimes, it gets difficult to sleep especially in winters when the fan is switched off and the only sound is the snoring and it reciprocates and echoes like a million times in the room. What do I do? I sleep with my earphones on. Again weird? Yeah, I agree this time also, because I sometimes accidentally sleep on my earphones and the result is that one of the earphone doesn't produce sound. Well, I had to buy those apple earphones two times so far. :( .

So far I have never had a dream about the work I do. May be I was just not involved in it. Or may be I had forgotten. But I can remember one dream. It was the night before my seventh standard mathematics exam. The previous two years we didn't had to give any final exams, due to the terrible Gujarat Earthquake and the Riots which followed the next year. So, I was giving my final exam after two years. And it was mathematics. I thought I studied but I didn't. And my dad is dead serious about maths, of course because he is too good at it. So, as always I was reading the day before the exam. Practicing usually meant applying the formulas for different sets of questions. Even if the formula was easy, the question was difficult to understand. So, my plan was to practice each and every different type so that I could fare a little better. I had studied sometime past mid night, but all the problems which I wanted to cover weren't done yet. I was small then so I don't remember whether I was an insomniac or not. But I slept sometime later. I started practicing maths again. And I did it till my mom woke me up. I was a little bit shocked. Because I didn't know I was asleep all the time. But I was studying maths, or so I felt because all those formulas and me scribbling on the notepad did feel real. Then suddenly I tried recollecting some of the problems which I did from my dream. Some seemed valid, actually most of it. But since I had that confusion for a slight minute, I had forgotten what I thought I studied in my dream. I still ask myself sometimes whether I really did study those remaining unsolved questions or was it just a dream due to too many numbers revolving in my mind.

Moving On. That comic strip you just saw in this post is the most recent one. I had a couple of more incidents, but I have to make the avatars all over again for different people, which I could do, but a tedious and a long process. So, I am managing with this one. So, this guy usually goes to office early in the morning and comes back almost at mid night. This was the routine for the past two weeks. And this guy doesn't even stay in our room. He stays upstairs but he has friends in my flat, so hangs here most of the time. So, this guy comes early to my room and slowly drifts into sleep. My roommate has gone out in the mean time. Suddenly, he sits on the bed. And starts talking. I was the only one in the room but he still had his eyes closed. All my previous encounters with sleep-talking people, no one had actually sat up and started talking. But this guy did. For a few seconds, I thought he was talking to me. I was about to respond to his confusing talk, when I hear "Press ALT F5. Then a small window will come." I then realized that he was actually in a dream of some sort. He continued for about a half a minute more. Yeah! He kept talking. I even thought of giving him a bath with a bucket of cold water, but then I just dropped that thought. After he has finished talking about the code, some friend of his, something he did, something he wanted others to do, he went back to his sleep. And all this happened in the evening and the sun didn't fully go yet.

The worst thing I remember doing in my sleeping was waking up horrified because I was about to get caught doing something terrible which I don't remember now and kicking the blanket over trying to get up the cliff while I was trekking(I think) when I accidentally slipped.

Aliens' Attack
This is totally unrelated comic strip. Well, take it as a complimentary one. :P
So This guy was too impressed with my avatar that it looked totally like me, as he says, he wanted me to make an avatar for him. Well, I couldn't make the exact replica of him.
And since I had made his avatar, I continued to make a comic strip on him.
He is actually in US, so thought of relating to it.

In My Sleep.

It is inevitable. The longer we are involved, the longer we enjoy until we wake up to the reality of life and realize that nothing was real. When I wake up from sleep, I realize that I was in a relatively different world. And let me tell you, that's quite fascinating and quite real(for the time being) as well. I enjoy almost all my dreams and so far I don't think I had any nightmares in which I had to wake up in the middle of the night screaming. Dreams are a total alternate reality. Often it happens that I am kinda superhero sort of in my dream and the center piece of the whole story. ( Obviously, right? Its' my dream and who else would be there? I was just sayin..!) But when I wake up, which is not with my will though, firstly, I would have to curse the phone for its scorching high alarm tone or the person who made me wake up. The flow of the dream is broken and everything feels wrong until it is completed. So, five minutes more, I say to myself and try to continue it where it stopped (paused) before I was woken up by some element. It doesn't happen though. It doesn't continue. That dream ended the moment I woke up. I seldom say to myself that I shall have that dream which I had last night/ morning. But No, every night a new dream to live with, a new chance to be a hero or just get screwed up. People say dreams are the subconscious memory. I second that. But sometimes its totally different and I keep wondering "Subconscious Memory? ..huh"  where I seem to be flying over cities or even doing those things which aren't possible in real life. That's something, right ? (Oh! By the way, I watch a lot of movies and TV series, so may be my subconscious memory then).

A week ago, I was woken up my dad in the morning. The morning was bright and shiny and it was pretty late as well. If I had a college, I'd be late by over an hour. But that was a holiday. So, I lazily drool over in the house and sit in front of my laptop and start checking fb & any comments on my previous posts. I found no notifications nor any comments. So, I get even more lazy and lean back into my chair only to find me sleeping. The other day, my dad asked me for something which I was supposed to give right at that moment, but didn't. So, in my dream that morning I was asked again. So, I get up and give it to him and I wanted to tell him something but he was busy on his phone. The next moment,  I wake up and see my dad at a distance and call him near to tell him something which I clearly can't recollect. Something which I wanted to tell him in my dream, I just couldn't remember. I convince him that I forgot what I wanted to tell and will tell him the next moment I remember it. I sat there wondering what was that I wanted to tell him as it seemed pretty important. But alas! I forgot! My bad. Later the next day, he asks me for the thing which I thought I already gave it to him only to realize that I gave him in the dream and not in the real life. I laugh at my stupidity inside but outside I was actually guilty of not passing on the thing which I was supposed to. Pretty Strange! I know, I sound totally crazy.

So here are some of my dreams....
Note: Dreams are those things which I usually get when I sleep. Don't mistake it with the life dreams like ambition something(which I clearly don't have yet). (Just in case, if you are wondering).

Screwed

I was on my bike when I saw the Police check point at a distance. I was fully equipped with all that necessary documents and even the helmet(i think). But every time he stops me and makes a huge waste of my time. I thought may be, not this time. So I was at my usual pace when he signals me to pull aside. I did't wanted to. So, I raise and go past him. Until another police man comes in front of me from I don't know where. He pulls me aside. I thought "I am screwed like hell". I just couldn't take it any more finally woke up. I thought "Thank God, that was just a dream!"

I was dead, Wasn't I?
It was under-water. May be it was a submarine. I opened a metal door. There was an empty space, an elevated platform and which also gave the view of the floor below it. It was calm. I might have been someone, but had no idea who I was. I don't even know what I was doing there. I open a door slowly without arising any kind of noise for suspision. May be I am an undercover agent or just an ordinary man stuck in a sub-marine sort of ship which is underwater. I didn't know. There were people hurt and tied to chairs. So, I untied them. They ran away immediately without letting me put my question. I ran after them, but I just missed them. A moment later, there was a loud noise and people started running helter-skelter. I found a gun at the corner of the dark empty room. It was more like a machine gun. The next thing, I knew I was shooting at them. But they weren't getting hurt. I thought I missed them all the time. As the voices drew louder, a junta of people dressed in some commando-type dress were approaching towards me. I was shocked to death. I saw them pointing the gun towards me and so I thought before its' too late and get captured by those unknown people, I should kill myself. So, I shot at myself with the machine gun which I had in my hand. I thought I was dead. As those people caught me and with many too many guns pointed at me, I realized that I was firing blanks! And I wasn't dead !

Time-Stuck

It seemed like an abandoned building more like a mansion. The light was less inside. It appeared dark. As I moved through the rooms, each room led to another and it never ended. It had a large corridor and even more room appeared. I thought I was lost in some unknown place. For it was an island. That all I knew. I could hear the sound of the waves gushing towards the shore. As I searched for myself in the lost place I found a few people. I never saw them before and were too very much unfamiliar. I dared not to speak but remained with them. They were a herd of four people. As they moved within the little yet big mansion I came to know they were lost as well. It was until a room came which had a big room and was filled with many more people. All I knew was that we were trapped and all the people had some mighty weapons in their hands. And also the date on the calender showed 2nd of December 2010. But the last thing I remember was that I celebrated the New Year of 2011. Some said it is an scientific experiment and that the time looped back to a month every time and that was the sixth time. When the reason for the same was asked they said "They had to create a project by the 1st of January 2011 " and added "May they are not even close".

An Angel

" The sun was just near the horizon when that little kid saw his mom for the last time. His eyes covered in sorrow of pain. So little was he, so much he knew about the pain of loss. After all that was his own mother. What he thought was happening I wasn't sure. But I could see the little hands tremble in fear as he held his brother's hand firmly. The ceremony was over by the start of the day. The name was carved "In Loving memory of Mariah ..". That little boy stood there while every loved one who came left. He didn't what the term cancer meant but that was all that occupied his head and  the little beautiful moments of him with his mom. I saw him smile once. He seemed lost. Lost in the thoughts of his beloved mom. As the time flew by, the sun rose higher above the horizon and as if some miracle might have happened the sun smiled at him. He was amazed and was filled with a hope. All that he said was," I saw mom! She has become an angel". The little amazement of the little boy amazed me. As I saw him leave with a happy mind and a heart of satisfaction, I was filled with happiness."

The Last one is My Favorite. That was the most awesome dream I had ever had. I just can't forget the bright sun smiling. Simply Superb, I would say.

P.S. : Here are just a few of the things, I mean dreams which I could remember for now.  Hope, this isn't a disappointment. I also know some are totally lame, but I don't think they are worse than the actual me.
