Oh gus, my love.

The Month that was August

The rain that lashed the lush green humid climate toning down the temperature, toning up the water level while I slept under the warm of a blanket only to be woken up by an alarm. 9 o'clock, it shouted. I snoozed it. I woke wearily a moment later, kicking the blanket under my legs. Time. 11 o'clock. Holy. That has how mostly all of my weekdays have passed by. August. Augustus. I really have no idea how this came up. Oh wait, the commercial in the TV. "I am a grenade, ready to explode" "I love you". "Oh gus, my love .." That was the one romantic turned nostalgic novel I have ever read. It was great, of course as it was recommended by a great friend of mine.

“Frankly speaking, you look like ten pounds of shit in a five-pound bag.”
― Stephen King, Finders Keepers
I read one novel , finally. I mean it took a lot of time which it should have. But finally I did complete. I think I will review the book. I should. I bought a couple of other  novels with the sole intention of finishing them off as soon as possible.

The wind blowed in the silent turbulence. The music played hard and loud, the voices, the cries, the silence kept away at arms lenth. Sir, please refrain from using electronic devices. A smile here, and an increase in the volume there. Bleh, a sigh. What's your seat number? Oh, you missed by a row. She would have sat just beside you. The hope that someday, a very hot girl would sit beside me... and I would spill all over myself and trip and fall on my face only to find a chubby dude taking half of my seat.

So, I traveled to Hyderabad this month. By flight. I am always excited about the flight journey. But what is more painful is that it doesn't last long enough for the money you spend. It takes a 5000 bucks for 2 two hour flight and the two hour feels like 5 minutes. You don't even feel like you traveled in the flight and spent 3 hours in the airport and then 2 hours in the air. It just takes 5 minutes. 5000 bucks for 5 min. And my goal was to complete one novel in the journey. Guess what I turned just one page. That's all I could do in 5 minutes.

How was the month that went past ? Not so good, I must say. I had a few unforeseen situations which are going to bother me this month as well. Thats' pretty much it. I guess, I am not good at rambling either. Oh man, I need to rekindle and change a few things here.

Random Observation.

Among the myriad of busy people slumped in their own world filled with varied emotions, as the music faded despite the blaring sound that could shatter the glass window pane, the crowded diminished into blurred shadows. The sleepiness that haunted me for a while as I somersaulted in the bus sitting at the same place started wearing off. The reflection became clearer with each passing second as animated figures that were indulged in the chattered conversation on the technology's latest. Everything turned into dual colors of black and white except that violet dress that she wore. As the bus made its way through the crowded streets packed with more cars than humans, the hair danced on her cheeks covering that cute dimple. Those brown fiercely calm eyes looked as relaxed as it could ever be. There was this charm that radiated around her which lately is being lost in the people due to too much make up, may be. That warmness in the charm attracted me. Though however simple she might be, she looked perfect among many imperfections dwindling to be perfect. I wanted to absorb and sink in, but I had to go.

They talked in animated conversation, he snapped from one of his day dreaming session. She came and went. At one moment their eyes met. He just sat there and trying to recollect that face. Her smile. He snapped again, she didn't even smile. It was a brief moment. A very brief moment. He didn't knew her. They were in a function. He was in a group of friends, so was she, but different groups, per say. He searched for her again, he couldn't find her. She was lost in the crowd. He was lost in the dreams yet again. The only thing that troubled him was that he couldn't recollect the face, yet he knew how beautiful she looked. He just couldn't.

P.S.  I think I owe an apology, to myself first of all and to all the people whose blog I haven't been able to visit regularly. No, I wasn't busy at all. Remember the tag line I used to tell a while back, "Jobless with a Job", well, that is back. And though I have all the time, I have just dodged from writing, every.single.time I wanted to write something. I am still trying to figure out what went wrong and where. There is this feeling that is awful, let me tell you, that there are thoughts, a lot many if I could point out, but nothing is coming out. I open the blogger every single time, I click on new post, I stare at it blankly for a while. Close the tab. Watch a tv series, come back, repeat. Something is really wrong with me, isn't it? And the worst part is that there is this self-indulged challenge of blog every day. *Sigh*. That doesn't seem to be coming right. Plus there is this A2ZChallenge to start in May. Ughh. I am so impossible.

12. The Boastful Few

I had the privilege to meet an acquaintance, who happened to be in the same class as I, nearly seven years ago. Well, it was a good thing to meet someone from their past after all these years. I am not at all good with friends. Though I am learning to stay put in this thing. So, yeah whenever an opportunity presents itself, I don't deny it. Rather, I make it happen. So, we met. It was the four of us. We weren't great friends back then. Most of the people know me because I sat near them. Rest, I am completely invisible. One among that group was a boastful person back in the day. As a result, when I got the invite I was thinking of giving it a pass. You don't want to meet boastful people, Sir. No. Then since the other people were unlike him, I finally decided to meet. No, I am not a celebrity figure. My presence or absence won't change a thing. So this dude has been to London the past couple of months in pursuit of his studies and was back India for holidays. And since back then, the rest of the people were good friends with him, they invited him for a meet. We decided to meet up at a place, which evidently he was unaware of. So, we guide Mr. H to the destination so as to which bus to take and where to get down. After a while he replies like, " Kise ke paas bike nahin hai kya ... bhagwan.. kya hogaya india ka youth ko.." ( Does nobody has a bike? ... Oh God!... What is happening to the youth of India ? ) . Believe me, that pissed me off like hell. No matter how much I was pissed, he wasn't worth it with the very statement. I replied like, "Are you not an Indian?" . Did I make sense ? He was speaking as if he wasn't Indian and seriously that was the dumbest bullshit line I ever heard. He realizes that he has said something awkward. So, in a process to rectify it, he replies like , " I am, Ajay, *Sad smiley* ... but ... what's the use of bike if I dunno how to ride one .. *wink smiley with a tongue out*. Again, as usual I was pissed off. Like earlier, however seriously I am pissed I try to maintain try cool. So, I simply replied ,"That seems to be your problem, is it not?" . Period.

And I was going to meet this bullshitting guy. Awesome. I already made up my mind that this encounter won't be any good. But when we actually met, I ignored almost everything he said. Because I knew he was going to keep on going about his so-called-adventures and the present status. He has gone into Charter Accounting and well one has to show that he got the bucks and that he earns / will earn buck load of money. I preferred to stay ignorant to all his talks and didn't give a shit about what he did, what he was going to do, how much he will earn, how he will enjoy life and all that cr#p.

Everytime I travel back to my room through the office, again, I get the privilege to sit beside one extraordinary person. I don't know what his state of mind is, or what he keeps thinking but at the end of the day he is most likely to be giving every intricate detail about himself. May be it is a good thing. May be not. But lets decide. A few weeks back, while I was sitting behind trying to enjoy my solitude looking at the wilderness, the darkness that engulfed the night with a small little flickering lights, that process was disturbed and violated. The reason : Our gentlemen was telling about his love for the different products of Apple. Recently, he had taken iPhone 5S even though it cost him a shitload of bucks (words from his own mouth). He goes on showing his fancy new mobile and the new features to an equally enthusiastic Apple fan. Whatmore? His house is filled with Apple products : iPad, iPod, Mac Book, and finally the Mac PC. Right! Everything. A hardcore fan indeed, is he not! I immediately plugged in my earphones into my ears and started listening to music as loud as possible. The journey had just started and there was like 40 more minutes of ground yet to cover and I can't take his blabber about his true love. I am myself an Apple fan. But people like him compel me to hate it. I don't understand what happens to people owning an Apple product! Why do they have to go head over heels and act as if they are the a**ho**s the world had ever had.

To add to his story telling, I got the privilege again. But this time, I had a problem. I forgot to take my headphones. Yes, Damn! But I had a novel with me. So, I thought if I get engrossed in it, I won't have to deal with this stories. I knew it before hand only that he was going to tell some new story this time even though the person sitting next to him is a complete stranger, every single time. I gave him a break as of how he started all this - how he breaks the ice and gets into the intricate details of his life. I skipped eavesdropping for a moment and there he was telling his story to a perfect stranger. This time it was about his busy schedule and the negligence of the company in providing the best route of travel for him to get down on a business deal. He goes from telling about how they don't get the better route since it is way above his pay grade and how he fights with them and gets a Business class ticket. How this was nothing new to him. He goes to meetings like this once a week and that his passport is filled with all the stamps and stuff. How his life even started, how he started earning and that his first earning was by selling milk and dropping papers at everyone's home with out their parents knowing about it. I tried my best to engross myself in the novel at hand. I read the same line for ten times. He was too loud and well my concentration is very minimal. I finally thought it was best if sleep, I won't have to listen to his inspiring story or whatever.

But that didn't happen. He kept on going like forever ans still it wasn't over. The relief came when my stop finally came. I am sure I have escaped one day. But he is going to there every other day, well if he is not travelling "abroad".

P.S. : Why I wrote this ? If that was your question. The answer is quite simple : I wish I knew

A Morning.

The bliss I failed to understand. Something I think I've missed all this summer. For I wake up late in the morning nearly around afternoon, I always failed to understand the silence of morning sun. The warmth so pleasant. Today I woke up at around 5 in the morning. This is not my routine though. But I had to travel to another place to write an exam which I am not sure what it is about. So, under peer pressure of my boasting alarm sound and mom trying to get me out of the bed else I'd be late for the departure time. I get ready and head out. It is little dark, but the sun is out but hiding behind the clouds. So, I reach for the Bus in which I am supposed to travel and start he journey.

There is was; shining behind the curvy clouds forming preposterous design in the naked sky. Then it hit me, a bliss in the morning glory. The sleepy head got a boast of energy. I felt alive, some kind of feeling which I had missed for so long. While the Sun was playing hide and seek with me through clouds and the path of the road being uneven (curvy and not straight) so it was a game. The warmth felt good.

So, I thought it was time to think a better topic to write on for my blog. Oh! Yes, I think about my blog for almost half of the day, intentionally and unintentionally . The high-pith music blaring in my ears, the annoying sound of the movie in the Bus and the uncomfortable passenger seating beside me prevented the flow of thought. I had nothing else to do but admire the morning glory and get some Vitamin D.
