I am 'Batman'.

The Identity Crisis.

Guess what! I just love my name. Nah, Not exactly. But I am desperate little (not literally little) man. I just want myself (actually my name) everywhere. So, if I find a new web site and it has a Sign-Up thing, I just jump right into it, of course after finding it interesting enough. Come on, I ain't that dumb. So, recently I thought of changing my name to some anonymous/alias name. Isn't it easy to just hide in plain sight and don't let anyone know you were even there? Yeah, that's what crossed my mind. So, going to some anonymous name would cost a little. No, not in sense of money. But, well, in case of people knowing that it is actually me and not just some random stranger. But I failed at the first step- Finding a Name. When I was little, like when I was going to school, I did a little thing of creating new names, just like decipher texts. You don't want to know that. Seriously, you don't. What.. You still insist. It's not a big of a deal. Hmm..well... You might be familiar with the culture of teasing others, especially friends with their crushes. So, sometimes, I made some names using some techniques (now don't you get deep into it. I ain't no mathematician, then nor now, so what I used was just standard, like 1st standard type codes) to find some new code names. So that no one could catch us, or lets just say that the people involved wouldn't know a thing. So, there it is. But now, I am just trying to find a new alias or an identity and like I said, I failed at it. I dig a further deep to just see how much I would have to change. So, I Google-d my name. It went on beyond 10 pages. Seriously, No Kidding. And you don't have to try that. I already did. Oh, you were Google-ing your name? My bad. The conclusion after what Google revealed was that I am one big idiot. Come on, one, two, three pages is acceptable. Over 10 pages! And this Google is just amazing, just unbelievable. The aftermath - I just can't do it - Get some alias. Anyway, it was a lame idea at the first place. And also because I just can't do much about it. Are you still in a question why I even opted for one? I too have no idea. May be because as a writer I won't be able to write freely about someone without their knowledge, or may be about myself. But I started with my name and let it continue so far even after doing what I just said I could do if I were some invisible guy, of course unless my account is hacked. Seems like I just like to face it, Face to face, though it may sound a little dumb. But that's what I had been doing so far and the times to guy. Yeah, acting like a tough guy. Wait! Who said I wasn't in the first place? :P

The Indian Traffic.

Ever been to Bangalore? If you have been, you are in for some good time. Though the hideous traffic which almost takes the life out of a person. There are flyovers and roads and vehicles, like a lot. It isn't a good thing that inspite of all the flyovers and the roads, there is still so much traffic. One might was well stuck between two signals, and mind it those two ain't nearby, rather they are stretch over a long distance. But some places it just catches my eye. Like when you get to see a Electricity pole right in the middle of the road, or a big old tree, or vehicles going the american way(opposite sides of normal driveway in India), or .... I could go on and on. I have heard about the traffic cameras being installed. So, sometime back, I was just checking whether they actually did it or not. Blistering Barnacles. They installed. No big discovery there. And I even get to see the live feed, actually 30 minutes back feed for the places where the cameras are fixed. Well, that was some while back. In the meanwhile I even forgot about the cameras because they weren't every where, just some places and you can even count the places as well, that many. Anyway, I was at the junction trying to cross the road, but the traffic never gave a chance for pedestrians. While I was waiting, a car takes a U-Turn and he didn't break any rules, I guess because it was a Green for that lane. The traffic police comes out of nowhere with a point and shoot digital camera and takes a snap of the vehicle's licence plate. So, the traffic cameras just got upgraded to moving cameras and handy, of course.

Kaha kaha se aa jate hai log. Phew! And this line reminds me of Sheldon Cooper of 'The Big Bang Theory'. I guess you have seen that TV series, right?

Lost!

I was in deep thinking. I had no idea what I was thinking. So deep I was in thinking, or lets call it brain storming with innumerable unnecessary thoughts while bounced from one world to another. My room is filled with people, those we usually call friends and acquaintances. The volume on the TV was blaring out loud. Even my parents who stay two states away could also hear. No Kidding. And what were they watching? Some Comedy show, which had nothing but the double meaning dialogues. I just couldn't watch it. Neither could I leave the room, well, because basically I stay in the same room. I change the channel during advertisements and these people get into shouting at me. Oh boy! Give me a break! So, I had no other choice but to plug in my head phones and keep the volume at the maximum possible on my iPod. Phew! Thats' a relief. Thats' when I had dozed off into this vigorous thinking.

I am just amazed at some people who find their dream at their early ages. Some want to be singer, some dancer, some doctor, some Engineer (What? No one ? Seriously, No one? ). Ok, after looking at me, obviously you wouldn't dream even during night. #JustSaying. So I was saying what they want to become. Yeah, some want to become a cricketer, (..remaining sports..), IAS , Pilot, [ Ok! Ok! We got your point. Move on. ] Isn't it just amazing. So, I was thinking what drives them into such dreams. Something they watch on TV, something they hear from people around, something their parents/well wishers want them to be. Or is it a self proclaimed path which one discover during the course of journey ? If someone else decides what we want to become, isn't it their dream? I would love to choose my own path. But there is still a question. The question of How?

Realizing what we love to do is not just a overnight thing. It takes time. What factors does it hold is solely our problem and needs solving. What we hear, what we perceive, what we think about it, what we do, all matters. I see many people working. Look at the IT industry that I currently work in. And I see thousands of people with formally dressed and go to office daily. So, is it their childhood dream or just the circumstances and others perception. We hear many people telling not to do this-that, while so many people telling us to do this-that. We want a happy life. And what does it take to get that? A good pay job so that we can take care of ourselves as well as our family. Aren't we bound with responsibility? Is it what we wanted? May be now! But as a child, as a innocent little child when we thought, "I want to become this(profession)". But as time passes by we change ourselves to the circumstances and choose what's best for us, for the people around me. I just wonder is that what we dreamed being a child?

As I said earlier, I really appreciate many people(well almost everyone, even the people reading this) who pursed their dreams. Because it involves breaking some rules, bending them and deciding that they align with out dream. And its' not wrong. It's actually the best thing you have ever done. You have just crossed the limit you set for yourself and made a new limit in the skies far above. And let me continue by saying, You would definitely reach and cross that limit also. Because its' what we would when we all work with out heart.

And now, I stay silent among the myriad people climbing, falling and again climbing their ladders, which they crafted themselves in the process to break the limits that they set for themselves . I am confused. I am still thinking. I have different plates in front of me. I just can't eat all the plates because we all know what happens the next morning, the day after that and the day after that as well. And I am lost in thinking. Just Lost. And its too damn dark in here. I hope to see the light at the end of the tunnel, if only there was any tunnel. I want to see the sunshine that rises from the far east, if only the night did ever end. I aspire to achieve, if only I knew what that was!

Sleep-Talk!

The Sleep-Talk
Somniloquy

I have had many encounters with Somniloquy. And what I have found is that this happens mostly to people who really work hard. Their mind gets to much occupied with the work that they are so deeply absorbed into. It is all random and clearly the other person won't understand what he/she is saying unless they are too involved in the same work. I could pick up a lot many people whom I had seen talking during their sleep. I guess it must be that they were working hard even in their sleep. What do we call those people? But I haven't seen anyone sleep-walking yet, I guess.

I am an insomniac. So, I stay up late at night till the sun shows its face. Yeah! I sleep just before the dawn. Weird? I know. So, some of my roommates get into sleep talk in the middle of the night. I get startled. What I hear is a total blur, but it feels like they are talking to us, the one awake, may be needing something or some help. But then they are still wide asleep. Need I say more there is a special music in addition to my iPod playlist the snoring. Sometimes, it gets difficult to sleep especially in winters when the fan is switched off and the only sound is the snoring and it reciprocates and echoes like a million times in the room. What do I do? I sleep with my earphones on. Again weird? Yeah, I agree this time also, because I sometimes accidentally sleep on my earphones and the result is that one of the earphone doesn't produce sound. Well, I had to buy those apple earphones two times so far. :( .

So far I have never had a dream about the work I do. May be I was just not involved in it. Or may be I had forgotten. But I can remember one dream. It was the night before my seventh standard mathematics exam. The previous two years we didn't had to give any final exams, due to the terrible Gujarat Earthquake and the Riots which followed the next year. So, I was giving my final exam after two years. And it was mathematics. I thought I studied but I didn't. And my dad is dead serious about maths, of course because he is too good at it. So, as always I was reading the day before the exam. Practicing usually meant applying the formulas for different sets of questions. Even if the formula was easy, the question was difficult to understand. So, my plan was to practice each and every different type so that I could fare a little better. I had studied sometime past mid night, but all the problems which I wanted to cover weren't done yet. I was small then so I don't remember whether I was an insomniac or not. But I slept sometime later. I started practicing maths again. And I did it till my mom woke me up. I was a little bit shocked. Because I didn't know I was asleep all the time. But I was studying maths, or so I felt because all those formulas and me scribbling on the notepad did feel real. Then suddenly I tried recollecting some of the problems which I did from my dream. Some seemed valid, actually most of it. But since I had that confusion for a slight minute, I had forgotten what I thought I studied in my dream. I still ask myself sometimes whether I really did study those remaining unsolved questions or was it just a dream due to too many numbers revolving in my mind.

Moving On. That comic strip you just saw in this post is the most recent one. I had a couple of more incidents, but I have to make the avatars all over again for different people, which I could do, but a tedious and a long process. So, I am managing with this one. So, this guy usually goes to office early in the morning and comes back almost at mid night. This was the routine for the past two weeks. And this guy doesn't even stay in our room. He stays upstairs but he has friends in my flat, so hangs here most of the time. So, this guy comes early to my room and slowly drifts into sleep. My roommate has gone out in the mean time. Suddenly, he sits on the bed. And starts talking. I was the only one in the room but he still had his eyes closed. All my previous encounters with sleep-talking people, no one had actually sat up and started talking. But this guy did. For a few seconds, I thought he was talking to me. I was about to respond to his confusing talk, when I hear "Press ALT F5. Then a small window will come." I then realized that he was actually in a dream of some sort. He continued for about a half a minute more. Yeah! He kept talking. I even thought of giving him a bath with a bucket of cold water, but then I just dropped that thought. After he has finished talking about the code, some friend of his, something he did, something he wanted others to do, he went back to his sleep. And all this happened in the evening and the sun didn't fully go yet.

The worst thing I remember doing in my sleeping was waking up horrified because I was about to get caught doing something terrible which I don't remember now and kicking the blanket over trying to get up the cliff while I was trekking(I think) when I accidentally slipped.

Aliens' Attack
This is totally unrelated comic strip. Well, take it as a complimentary one. :P
So This guy was too impressed with my avatar that it looked totally like me, as he says, he wanted me to make an avatar for him. Well, I couldn't make the exact replica of him.
And since I had made his avatar, I continued to make a comic strip on him.
He is actually in US, so thought of relating to it.

Stillness.

A slow music surrounded the atmosphere as the sun has its final encounters shimmering a bright red fragrance of an ending day in a very pleasant way. Everything was still. The people on the roads, the cars, the traffic, the clouds, the everything. The smoke from the chimney played with itself in the company of the wind that blew. I could even smell the sweet fragrance of the sweet flowers which were on the flower mart just couple of steps in front of. As I dissolved in the melody of the song, I was just as confused as the excitement that came with the unexpected turn of events. I kept walking savoring the plight of an unreasonable events that were happening just in front of my eyes. It was refreshing as I saw the still beauties all around me. The sun was welcoming night with open arms as the red magnificent reflection played a million compositions, but everything seemed still.

The track on the iPod changes to another delicacy. As I absorb the sweet nothingness in the quite atmosphere around me which still seems so strange yet beautiful. And I'm just in the moment at the right time, I told to myself just to assure myself that I am not one among the many still. What was happening was alien to me, but I tried to make the most of the stillness. There are the balloons that floated in the vast crimson sky as the shadows of innumerable objects stood in silence. All this felt quite strange.

It was as if everything just stopped. I wondered whether I was dreaming or is it even real. The wind was blowing and as it touched me, a cool breeze which made me realize I wasn't dreaming. But this couldn't be possible, I told myself. I could see uncountable expressions on the people's faces. And there were a variety of people, of course. Working People, Professionals, Businessmen, Students. All carried with them a different unique sense of expression almost justifying their character and the work they were into. Angry, Happy, Sad, Confused, were the faces of the people who looked like mannequins in a Shopping Outlet, but with different human(y) expressions. Each distinct, yet significant.

There I was standing among the multitude of still people and frozen time. From my past experiences, it has always been opposite. I would be the one standing insensibly still and frozen among the myriad busy people moving along with their lives and with a steady plan, an inspiring goal and a never ending thrust of achieving the aim. It seemed odd and quite difficult for me to be on the opposite side of the coin. But among the infinitude stillness I too was still, with no plan, no goal, whatsoever. Was it a chance to get back to my senses and realize how deep I had fallen into the pit of emptiness? Or ... I just couldn't think anything clearer. I was just lost while I drowned into thinking and more thinking.

I got into questioning myself and the situation that I am in. Life was at stillness right before my eyes. And I was having a hard time believing it. Then the questions increased. Was I dead? Or is this the transition. I had more question piling up in my mind. The time on my watch stood still as I bathed in the tub of piling suffocating questions. I was confused. I felt scared. I was drowning. The crimson sky and the pleasant atmosphere was no where to be seen. I was just surrounded by unanswered questions. I tried to swim against the tide and get to shore. But the more I tried, I more I sank. The previous stillness felt way much better. I told myself that it was just a dream or I am just hallucinating. All this can't be happening. The more I tried to kick the thought away, the more dearer it became. Life is a complicated mess. Whoever said "Life is Beautiful", I clearly don't know what he meant by that. Or may be it is beautiful for the people who could get out of this stillness and move on. So, I guess I just need to get out of this vast still swamp and get back on my feet before I get stuck here for eternity.

- Ajay Kontham

P.S. Ok! Fine. I agree. I don't make any sense. What? Were you hoping to get a happy ending? Well, this ain't no Disney Story. Wait! I really don't make any sense at all. Omg! I better get out of here before these people (read : readers ) plan to avenge me. Damn. I am still stuck in this stillness. Oh Wait! I can't move. Come on legs-hands-body MOVE , MOVE. Damn! I am like that mannequin now. No. No. NoooOO! Somebody Help!

Not Gonna Happen.

Casual Talk in Office one Evening (Scene 1) Btw [*GF = GirlFriend ]

Casual Talk in Office one Evening (Scene 2)

Casual Talk in Office one Evening (Scene 3)

I have had these type of conversations with too many people. I am asked with the questions about my relationships status. Though I have told a million times, I am still Single and Ready to Mingle and very Very Happy being Alone. But, sill I am darted with the same questions - "Dude, Do you have a GF?". Though I make the worst of the faces and pretend as if offended. Yeah, I tried to make that offended face, but that turned out to be funny, not at all near that offended. Why I wanted to make an offended face ? Hmm, Because, "Look at me!" I sometimes even say it out loud - "Dude, Look at me and do you think I have that BF-material face at all?" To which I get some really unexpected answers. "Yeah! You look good, dress well, and I have heard you are called Mr.Perfect" .

For gods sake, can someone drop that name. ME? MR. PERFECT? (Yeah! In my dreams, may be). Well, I wish to be Mr.Perfect. But truth be told, I am no-where near it. Some unfortunate incidents lead them, those brainy people who think too much into getting a new nick name for me. There is this nice movie, in which the Hero copied my hairstyle, and some part of dressing style as well. And he looks good in that, like Mr.Perfect - Dressed well, Punctual, Good Employee, well, to summarize, he is perfect. But me, on the other hand - Not even Close. But still, I got the name, and have to live with it. Even if most of the people don't know because they are new, some of the old people just have to get it out of their stomach. Yeah! Hopeless people. And I don't know whether I should take it as a compliment or not, because it totally contradicts me and moreover it feels like they are mockingly-sarcastic. I don't know what I have to do to make them believe that I am not that Mr,Perfect or even BF-Material.

I had an interesting conversation with my cousin sister today, though it was all about teasing me that I am trying to find one, you know what I mean right? So, it's like payback. Because I always get onto her nerves teasing her about the same. Well, that's for another day. I mean I have to make the conversation more lively through these comic strips. I told her that I would make one avatar of her, and all about it. I don't know whether she believed it or not. But, you know me - Stubborn, Arrogant, bla bla... Wait! You know right? Or did I just ... Oh No..No..No! "Shift-Delete" the previous line from your mind. So, what was I saying - Yeah, Comic strips, coming soon. Don't wait up. Have a bowl of ice cream, sleep and then next day, a hot coffee or tea, whichever you prefer, then go to work after having breakfast, of course. Ok! I will stop. I am over-doing.

P.S. And before you close this browser, don't get carried away by the comic avatar of me. I intentionally made it to look cool. Don't say, I look like Mr.Perfect, or whatever! That's just one of the many hats I wear.
Hehe. "Dude, You have only 2 hats."
Not that Hats, Idiot. Don't get on my nerves now, b'cause I can't do anything. My legs have become numb as I have been sitting-sleeping inappropriately. Oh Boy, my legs aren't seriously working. >:(

Pull Me Up.

Saving.
My friend has a habit of pulling people who tend to walk along the road, in order to save them from being run over by the bus. But there is a catch. We usually walk to the bus stop from the office and also to the office. And it's a pretty long journey. So, one of the three of us walk just besides the road. So, when a bus passes by, he would pull the person near to the road saying that he just saved us from getting run over by the bus, while the bus was not even close. It is like a mile away from us. He continues saying that we own him one life, everytime. And if we were to count the number of life(s) we owe him, well its a two digit number. Though, he does all for the fun, so I made a fun comic strip on him. :P

P.S. I haven't gone out of my room in the past week. And I think I am losing my mind. I need get my SugarHoneyIcedTea together. And that is the reason, I am not posting anything interesting these days, I mean in terms of writing. Just these comic strips, I am keeping my hands full with, but guess what, I am running out of them also. I need a hobby, a serious hobby. :/

Clock Code.

At a Restaurant one afternoon Scene I
I know most people are not aware of this convention. But even then I tried hoping that he might react exactly to what I had thought. So, you must be know when we use that code. Basically, If you are a Counter Strike Gamer or Call Of Duty, likewise gamer or even watch some of the army-action stud movies, you would know what they are. They are basically used to tell the other people that the enemy is at the position using the clock hands so that they can take a clear shot at them or even to warn their friends. So, I happened to use this, not as in kill zone, but on an entirely different platform where no arms and ammunition are used. Well, I shouldn't say more about it. And its' just people.  So, my friend looks up when I told him to look at his 12. He was imagining the clock vertically rather then horizontally to the surface of the earth. To have a little more fun, I asked him "What's your six then? " So, he does this (below pic) . He totally looks down, puzzled, with a question mark on his face, probably thinking "What!?" I just blurt out laughing.

At a Restaurant one afternoon Scene I
After explaining the exact clock convention, he still looks puzzled. So, some days later I asked him to look at his 5, thinking that he might have understood what I explained to him the other day. But, he looks at his watch and then turns. And its too late by then.

An Award Giveaway II.

This is a long overdue post. I have been meaning to write this post like since when I crossed the 300 posts mark. But due to my expert Photoshop skills and the notion to make this an interesting post kept me from posting so far. So, I crossed the 300 posts mark and also 40K page views, the latter is not a big of a deal but the former is. "Three freaking Hundred"!! Yeah, Quite unbelievable, but have to accept the fact. Though, I agree with most people that most posts doesn't contain any noteworthy or even anything readable.  Whatever! So, after a lot of struggle and how to create something interesting, I finally created a Giveaway Award. And I agree, its' not cool enough, but I guess you can live with it, if not, lemme know :P . I know I am too bad at Photoshop and all. And last time I hoisted this giveaway was when I crossed the 200 posts. And if you happen to see the smashing, glass-shattering  "Awesome Blogger Award" anywhere, that was created by yours faithfully. Wait! Who are you looking at? Hey, Come on!! Its' me. Anyways, I am happy to see it circling all over the world. :D

In accordance with the previous blog awards, I have came to know that some people don't like to follow the rules. Well, who does? And I agree with them totally. But don't you think that all that hectic process is to appreciate the work and acts as a little motivation to keep them moving forward. NO, I am not saying you to follow the rules. That's 15! I don't think they are hard, are they? And I also don't think they would take much time, right ?

Phew! Anyways, Done with that. That is seriously one tedious process. Creating the award was one difficult step and then awarding people is another difficult one.

6. Inform the bloggers about their award. : On it.

Well, Congratulations, and hope you like the Award. And lastly thanks for reading my blog. :)

Take Care and Keep writing.
Cheers. :D

Some 5km Run

My friend & Me at a Company organised 5KM Run on Republic Day.

In the middle of the week.

Diary Entry # 3

The days are usually the same. I mean I sleep at almost five or six in the morning. And wake up around ten or eleven. And today I planned to go to a Park to fuel my hobby which is photography. I lazily woke up and got ready. But wasn't sure whether I should go or not. I Googled the park and even saw for the images so that I could have a raw idea whether there is something noteworthy of clicking. I also checked the bus route for the park on Google Maps. But then again, I was in a big dilemma whether to go or not.

Later the day before, the Facebook Graph search has been enabled for me as I had signed up for it a week ago. My friend says it is going to revolutionalise the search engine. To which his friend comments saying that "No matter how great the Facebook Graph Search will be, people would still search about it in Google". He has got a point there. Anyway, here is the draft look of how it looks. It searches for all the associated things.

Facebook Graph Search
This new search tool is cool. But I don't use it that often, unless I have to stalk someone.

Moving on, there is an awesome app on Facebook which I just got addicted to : Bitstrips. It is really a cool app. You can create your own avatar. And then you can even create some conversations with your friends. More over, you can even create your friends avatar as well. The whole previous night, I was busy making my avatar and if I am not wrong, I made the coolest one for myself, and obviously it looks like me. So here is the snapshot.

And today, I was actually busy creating some funny strips. While some of my friends were asking me "Hey, that looks exactly like you!" . Duh! I created it to look like me, so obviously it will look like me only, right.

So, here are some of the other strips from my creation. And I would be uploading one each day, hopefully. [ One of AK's tactic to post something or the other when he is out of damn ideas. ]

The Punctual Guy. Of course that would be me. And one pretending.
That's my bro suggesting me a topic.
Me, before going to the park for taking photos.
Me,  After coming back empty handed without a single photo.
More of these will come soon, or rather daily. And I must say, you must also try out. Its' pretty cool. And may be you can make one strip like this appreciating my blog, or the opposite. I think I have spent a lot of time doing literally nothing.

Sayonara.
Oh! No! Not sleeping yet. Got some tv series to watch. :D

Until later

Sometimes when I am alone, I cry

I slowly drift into Dreams
In the middle of the Day
Weaving and drawing, A story
In the empty sky, which is still a Mystery.

The white snowy clouds
Carpeting my incomplete stories
The birds flying and singing
Add music to the dull mysteries.

The sweet innocent rain
Cleaning the inaccuracies of my artwork
The cold breezy wind
Lamenting and carrying to places unknown.

But the reality defies my imagination
As the castles I built
In the imaginary walls of thoughts
Seem to be stumbling and falling.

Ruining the pleasant sky
The World turns Red
As the Sun dawns into darkness
I slowly gulp the unhappiness.

Then Again, The sky is clear
My imaginary creations wiped off. But,
The sky doesn't look the same
As it fails to inspire, like it did before.

Life seems to be tangled
Uncaring and ungrateful
I try to find myself
Among the multitude of people.

But I am lost, walking alone
Through the rugged stories.
From people, I hear the life adventures
Which I wish were mine.

But time seems to be friendly
Just like most people I know
Robs me most of it,
As I just stand witnessing.

Hope is all I have
Strong, I try to stand
But weak, I'm from inside
Which finds me too dear.

A smile lives on my lips
Buried beneath the pain
Too agonizing it is, Because
Sometimes when I am alone, I cry.
