In 55 Words.

55 Fiction

Disclaimer : Just trying out something with 55 Words. Risk it to Feel it. Images from Google.

Infatuation
He was bewildered for a moment. He had an exam that day and she was there along with her father. He lost his senses and was immersed in the beauty. The exam went pretty bad as he kept thinking of her. He asked me "Is it love at first sight". I replied, "No My Friend, Its Infatuation".

Smoking

He left it for good. It was difficult at first but eventually he had to. He was once a chain smoker which started as fun The doctor called him one afternoon to break the news that he had cancer. He had to live long enough at least for their children. He is just 25 for gods' sake.

In Good Terms
(At a Restaurant)
The couple had a stupendous meal. She was utterly excited for she was expecting something marvelous to happen. He makes a grin face and says,"I can't see you anymore". Shocked she was and was almost choked and replies,"Why, Why break-up over such a dinner?". He says,"I wanted to part in good terms". She leaves with a broken heart.

P.S. There is a Twitter group with name "55wordstory"  where people post on a topic each day which is then uploaded into a blog. So I was going through them for getting some insight as of how people actually do that. While I was reading, I thought What? I could write much better than that. So, my trail. Hopefully, I will come up much more in due time.

"Risk it to feel it" is just another name which I am giving to such kind of things where something could be felt if you know what I mean. If you don't know, never mind I will make it clear the next time when I come up with such a piece of work.

  3. Loved this post..

And the idea of the "55wordstory" is also quite intriguing... I don't think I'd be able to fit a story into such little space, but hats off to you for doing that.

I must say it is quite difficult to put a story in 55 words.
And also "If I can do it, anyone can do it" . So, probably you can write much better than me. I would recommend you to try it out.

    2. You must be kidding!
There's no way I'd be able to write better than you! I'm still a work in progress when it comes to writing. And especially narratives!

But maybe I should try it out :)

    3. That's what I said. Give it a try.
The only thing is that you are still exploring your talents. And I am pretty sure this talent is also hidden in you somewhere.
      Btw I wasn't kidding. :)
So, try it out once and I can say that it would be much much better than mine. (Again, No Kiddin') :]
