As the sun broke the first light
Whisking away the gloomy fog
Amidst the cold breeze
A banter of birds sang the morning carol
Filled the air with candid scent
In its bright orange splendor
Spreading the morning shine
In effervescence of a new beginning.
The birds chirped
In the glory of another day
A day unlike any other
Had a new meaning to it
As people marched into the chaos of life
Filled with hope and enthusiasm
Welcoming the new year
With cheer and happiness.
